2011 Coloring Contest Winners

The Cecil Soil Conservation District coloring contest was a big success again this year with 55 entries in the Kindergarten through 5th grades.  Entries were received from as far away as New York to here in the Soil Conservation Field Office. 

A number of entries were received from the Boys and Girls Club of Cecil County, and the Public Libraries throughout the County.  The Soil Conservation District would like to thank everyone who participated in the contest and congratulate the winners as follows.

               Class A - Kindergarten & 1st grades

                 1st Place - Jack Henderson                       

                 2nd Place - Emma Wyatt Thomas

Each year the 1st place winning entries in each Class are also submitted to the Maryland Association of Conservation Districts' (MASCD) coloring contest.  This year we are proud to announce 1st place in the MASCD Class A (K-1) category has been awarded to Jack Henderson representing the Cecil SCD.
